Samanda has photographed thousands of people and places as a newspaper staff photographer, editor, and photo editor at newspapers around the U.S. She has a Master of Arts in photography from the School of Visual Communication at Ohio University, and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism and photojournalism from San Jose State University. She teaches photography at Solano Community College and Santa Rosa Jr. College, and is the faculty advisor for the student newspaper at Diablo Valley College. Samanda is based in Napa, California.
